A singer and songwriter of beguilingly dark folk hymns and modern torch ballads, Megan Hutch is a performer. Expressive, engaging, authentic.

Her 2 EP’S; Desert Rain and Alchemy, bring us into a world of familiar emotion, through sonic scenes of joys and sorrows.

She is profiled in the upcoming documentary Joshua Tree on Film, directed by Award Wining Photographer Casey Kiernan, a guest singer and dancer in the Cactus Wine Experience; a Wild West Burlesque, and stars as “the woman” in the haunting and provocative short film and music video directed and produced by JD Rudometkin.

She has been featured in the Coachella Valley Weekly for her music, and in Desert Magazine, modeling as a rock and roll bride for the Wedding Photography Company; Sage and Swan.

Megan is currently performing and recording under the name Dark Silver with Smitty aka Stevie from St. Lou [Soprano’s, Deadwood, more]. The duo are set to release their first EP in Spring ‘20. A recent relocation from his native Brooklyn to Joshua Tree has inspired the two to co-create in their original compositions. Smitty’s National Reso-Phonic guitar accompanies Hutch’s compelling voice while they carry listeners on a gentle journey home. Evoking a primitive language of song and sound, this duo reaches their audience with a seductive innocence and warmth that has intrigued listeners spanning multiple generations.
